I am on the train right now, commuting to work. One year ago today at this time, I was prepping for my repeat c-section and nervously wondering if everything was going to be OK with the both of us. I was hooked up to the heart rate monitor, so I could hear Owl’s reassuring lub-dub, lub-dub, lub-dub. Still I am never so anxious as in those few days and hours before meeting my boys.

At 10:14am, I’ll be walking to work, and no one will know it by looking at me, but a symphony of glory and praise will be playing in my head and I’ll be so moved by love and thanks that every cell will be vibrating with barely contained energy.

Happy Birthday my little Owl and thank you so very much for this past year. It was a blessing in so many, many ways.
